   Before installing, be sure pipe ends are reamed and threads are cut to size. Blow out lines to remove all loose scale and other foreign matter that can damage valve seat.

   Be sure to always install regulator with the arrows under the diaphragm flange pointing in the direction of flow.

　　The use of a by-pass around a regulator permits maintenance or repairs without shutting down the line. This is important where the line supplies vital services requiring continuous supply. During repairs regulation can be obtained by manual regulation of the by-pass valve.

　　Multiple valve installations are very practical especially where there is a wide variation in demand. Pressure settings can be varied in each so that, under small demand, only one regulator is operating; and as load increases, the other valves will successively pick up the load. For critical uses one valve could be maintained as a stand-by for use when repairs were being made to the other valves in the group.

　　To Readjust - Loosen lock nut on the adjusting screw. To increase the reduced pressure, turn the adjusting screw clockwise - opposite to decrease the reduced pressure. When making adjustment in the reduced pressure, always bleed the line to allow the line pressure to adjust to the regular setting. To Clean or replace disc or strainer, remove the large hex head bottom plug. Use socket wrench to remove regulator seat for replacement.
