　　For the past 7 years, the Field Service Department has maintained a database with information on every reported valve problem, regardless of whether the problem was caused by Velan or others. This database is used as the basis for design enhancements and root cause corrective action where required and gives support to marketing references, engineering reliability studies and proof of long term valve reliability.
